What to expect
Julia provides a holistic lens to counseling, focusing on the whole person; mind, soul, spirit, and body. Her counseling philosophy is relationship-centered where she hopes that creating an empathic, trusting relationship will be what is needed to draw out the strengths of the individual so that they can successfully start this journey of healing.
She specializes in working with women, young adults, adolescents and cross cultural individuals. For over 10 years, she's helped cross cultural families maneuver life's challenges of identity confusion, cultural issues and rootlessness.
Her other specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues, unresolved grief and loss, PTSD and life transitions. She's trained in EMDR and TFCBT which are both helpful tools for working through trauma and anxiety with adults and adolescence.
She takes multiple different health insurances: Medicaid, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna or self pay.
